Hobby box? Wax Box?

What do all the boxes mean? I'm talking about the hobby boxes and wax boxes. What makes a box what it is?

hobby boxes are sold strictly at card shops,wax boxes at places like Wal-Mart,Target,ect.there truly is no difference in the look of the boxes,but sometimes the card companies put in different subsets in both types of boxes to see which intrigues and entices collectors more into buying them.

it depends on the sport,and on what subsets/rookies the companies decide to put in the respective types of boxes.
