Finally got 1600 Different Ryan's!

I just reached 1600 different Nolan Ryan's, due to a nice buy on eBay (a 2002 Fleer Box Score...it's a base card, but just as important to me as all the other 1599 Ryan's I have...lol). Although my goal was 2,000 different by 2007, which I set this past January 2006, I think getting 600 new Ryan's in a year is a great accomplishment. And i'm not disappointed, considering health and financial setbacks, which i'm sure all of us go through from time to time every year in one way or another. I just wanted to share my excitement (it may be silly to some...).

Now, I don't know what to set my new goal for, for 2008...There are 7,285 Ryan's listed in Beckett (probably a few more since I haven't update the 2006 list in a few weeks). So what should I shoot for? Hmmm, it's going to be between 2,600 and 3,000. Shoot high or low...? lol.

I'm sure there are many player collectors and set collectors that reached some kind of personal collection goal this year...?

That's awesome!Congrats on reaching that many cards!The only thing I accomplished was getting certified autos of DiMaggio,Mantle,Maris,and Chien-Ming Wang.So my four cards,while they are autographed,doesn't compare to your 600 different Ryan cards.If I were you,I'd set another goal similar to this year.Even though you didn't quite reach it,you still seem very happy,so all is well.Maybe next year you will.But if you don't,I'm sure you'll be pretty happy with another 600 cards.Once again,congrats!
