I agree that the system is messed up. Especially Bonds' observation about "when" you lose your game being the most important, but I ask Why change now???? NCAA football history is littered with teams that lost one game at the end of the year not getting to the title, including Ohio State two years in a row during the Eddie George years. Why the sudden interests in changing now that it is "poor Michigan and Lloyd Carr"? Michigan padded their schedule with Vanderbilt and TWO MAC teams, including a near loss to Ball St. They beat a Notre Dame team that didnt win a big game all year and lost what became the conference title game to Ohio State. The rest of the Big 10, though it hurts to admit it, is pretty weak. Florida beat LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State, S. Carolina and convincingly won their title game over Arkansas. I would think that beating all those teams is at least the equal of beating Notre Dame. Though many will site the Auburn game as a negative, playing at Auburn is no simple task and really it was 4 point game with the exception of a fluke defensive TD with no time left providing the final margin of victory. I personally feel that Florida is the correct choice and they will get steam rolled by THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. Sorry Jazz.
