Default Question about Basketball Cards

I can pick up a few boxes of 04-05 Topps 1st Edition but I was wondering if I would be better off doing this or just pick up the refgular 04-05 Topps when they come out. Need some opinions from the basketball collectors here. Thanks

I'd wait for the regular Topps.1st edition is usually less valuable and I don't think there are even inserts in that product. And regular Topps is usually cleaner in design and has more RC's

1st Edition is the same design as regular Topps is just says 1st Edition on it. And the 1st Edition RCs in 03-04 sold for more than regular Topps. I'm not sure if they insert GU/Autos in 1st Edition though.

1st edition are "rarer" then the regular topps. If they are the same price go with the 1st edition. You can always find topps around

The 1st edition base is rarer but you can't get autos or game used. I would go with the regular, you never know when you might pull a photo shoot auto.

I really don't think the rookie class is good enough to purchase them, sure the top 5 picks might be worth a little more than a regualr topps, but like its mentioned above I'm almost positive you can't pull game used or autos.
