Default How do YOU display your collection?

I was wondering what you folks do with your personal collection. I keep mine in boxes, but I am looking for ideas on what to do. This is not a contest, but I'm sure some of you have some impressive ways of "showing off" your investment.

I built a china cabinet in high school shop class, (way back in 1977 ). It was a gift to my mom back then, but after she passed away, it became part of my inheritance. I was gonna convert it into a gun cabinet, but mom had always told me not to change it, (guess she thought I'd screw it up), so I'm sticking with her wishes.
My collection is proudly displayed within the china cabinet inside my office, (since I can't afford to buy fine china) ~ "Nail"

Pretty cool Nails.
All of my husband's cards and mine too (what little I have) are in boxes but I've been searching the antique stores for this idea... I've seen several old card catalogs (since they are obsolete in libraries anymore) If you remove the inside bar and mechanisms the cards will fit nicely and we can actually display it in the house.

Great idea Ree!

My cabinet had little wooden slats that held the dishes up, I moved them closer to the back so the cards could lean up against the back wall of the shelves. The rest of the space houses cards lying down to where you can't see them unless you're right in front of the cabinet. It doesn't hold all my collection, (probably about 100 cards), so I keep only the best cards displayed there.

Another suggestion, I have my shot glass/wine glass collection in an old book case that I picked up at a flea market. I had a piece of glass cut to fit the outside face, and took mirror clips to fasten it on. The glass front keeps most of the dust out, and I even wired a little light above each shelf to help brighten things a little. I would think something like that would work good for a card case? ~ "Nail"

I have been planning on using the below company to custom frame my cards. Seeing that I am trying to get certified autos of as many Patriots that played on the 3 Super Bowl winning teams (52 different autographs so far), I want to have something made to hang on my wall. I also want one of my Champion Celtics autos, and World Series Champion Red Sox autos (still working on that one). The custom framing is pricey, but they do a great job...from the pictures I have seen.

Great ideas with the china cabinet and card catalog idea. I would like to find one of those card catalogs to replace the white 1,000 count boxes I currently use.

In a former military bunker now turned into a storage facility! Wish my collection was at home so I can play/look at it more often! But at least it's safe from earthquakes!
