When I was 5 I had about 2,000 basketball cards and I traded them to my older brother for a couple of shiny rocks.

I still fondly recall my pre-TR days at the collectors universe message boards. There was a guy there from Las Vegas and I traded him a Kobe Finest rc and Kobe EX rc and a couple smaller cards for a couple carter cards and a KG Topps Draft Redemption. Well I never got his cards and it started the mammoth thread that I titled "Where the hell are my cards at?" The thread turned into sort of a flame war with me and JSA and Crum against his younger teenage boyz! Last I remember, it had over 700 replies and I never got my cards. To this day that is the only time I have gotten burnt.

I collect Barry Bonds. Now when I started collecting a friend of mine handed me 2 brown paper grocery bags full of cards. Well amongest all these cards were a Joe Montana rookie and 2 true Gretzky rc's and one rookie yr allstar from topps. The ones that have the scratch off pucks on the front. If you didn't scratch off the puck you didn't know who you had unless your a hockey nut.
Well I had one gretzky scratched and one unscratched. Went to a card show and traded the 3 of them back in the early 90's for a bronze Bonds and a box full of inserts and pretty cards. Even with Bonds homerun craze I could get these cards cheap today but not those 3 rookies. Especially the unscratched gretzky. I'm not a big fan of hockey and have never even looked at a hockey beckett. So whatever you do DON"T ever tell me what those Great Ones go for today! BV at the time for the Bonds roughly $275 though it was a big boost in my Bonds collection I won't forget what I gave up to get them!

LOL! Come on bro, make us laugh ... plus, I know other mods are kicking in prizes, I just listed what I had laying around for the moment. Once they tell me what's available, I'll edit the prize list.

The only thing I could think of where I didn't come out on top was back in 1998 I bought a pack of Donruss Signature and pulled a stupid autograph of some no-name guy, Jason Giambi. With my dismal luck I put it up on Ebay and got a whopping $3 for it, which I was actully happy with since he was "nobody." The next season he exploded and the card shot way up in value, now it's steadied out at $25 but I think it hit $40 at one point. I've been trying to find another Giambi auto since at my original sell price with no luck.

Oh mine isn't as fun as yours but what the heck!

So when i was about 10 Years old i bought a pack of 99/00 Topps Basketball where i pulled somekind of a Tim Duncan refractor that has BV 25$ i didn't understand what i had pulled so one guy in the cardshop wanted to trade it so I offcourse wanted more cards i was collecting New York Knicks then and i was very pleased when i got 3 cards for 1. Those three cards were UD Legends Glen Rice and two noname guys so whooopy.

My cousin gave me a box of football cards when I was in college (late 80's). Being a poor college kid, I took them to a local card shop and he gave me $75for the box. Being a football collector now, I look back at what was in the box:late 60's to early 70's football, Sayers, Namath, etc... You get the picture.

#1 had my drugy little sister steal my cards from the 70's i know there was a inch stack of w.payton rc's in there
#2 just after the 04 draft i traded a guy a pennington low #d auto for then a $100 finest big ben auto rc,never got it
but the worst i can put on me was in the 80's my comic book friend was begging me to buy a few of these new comics with my $20 but instead i went to the arcade and blew the$20 the comics where 1st edition teenage m.n. turtle and they where cheap could of got a few

actually i just thought of one worst than b4, b4 i at least got $100 in this deal i got nothing!
i pulled a quad jersey of robinson/snider/lasorda/pee wee reese #5/5 almost 2 yrs ago at the shop and of course no pricing so the store owner gave me a box of 04 leaf certified materials baseball ($75) i said ok cuz i pulled that card and didnt like the players(shows how stupid i used to be) the best F'N card i got out of that box was a auto/bat of some no name along with a bat card of a no name and 2 other minor star GU
who damn stupid am i?
