2009 Press Pass Legends Football
Charlotte, N.C – With training camps getting ready to kick off and the Hall of Fame inductions just around the corner, Press Pass Legends makes is hitting the market at the perfect time in 2009. With 18-pack hobby boxes delivering at least 5 hard autographs and 1 game-used jersey card, collectors have a chance to obtain not only all-time greats from the past, but the legends of the future as well. On top of being able to find autographs of the top rookies for 2009, such as Mark Sanchez, Matthew Stafford, Michael Crabtree, and Knowshon Moreno, the set will also include the likes of John Elway, Deion Sanders, Tony Dorsett, and Rod Woodson – all featured in photos from their collegiate careers. Each pack will yield at least one sequentially numbered card, every box will deliver at least 2 legendary autographs, and 1 of 1 Press Plates will fall at least one per case!
Six distinct autograph designs will be featured in 2009 Press Pass Legends Football. Highlighting 100 players, 40 of whom are some of the greatest players in the history of football, Saturday Signatures delivers quite a blow, and a new Saturday Signatures Platinum parallel has been added this year that is only numbered to 25. Alumni Association Ink will feature dual autographs of the top players from some of the biggest schools in the country, including the likes of Georgia, Ohio State, Florida State, and Pitt. Showcasing 20 legends of the gridiron, Legends of the Fall honors names such as John Elway, Dan Fouts, Lawrence Taylor, Doug Williams, and Sam Huff, and the Platinum parallel is numbered to just 25. All Conference pays tribute to the superstars who earned top accolades in their divisions in 2008, including the likes of Percy Harvin, Chris “Beanie” Wells, Josh Freeman, and Jeremy Maclin, and includes a Platinum parallel numbered to only 25.
Delivering collectors game-used jerseys of several high profile NFL draft picks and college greats, Saturday Swatches highlights players such as Mike Alstott, Matt Ryan, Darren McFadden, Matt Forte, and Steve Slaton. These will likely be some of the only collegiate game-used jersey cards ever issued for many of these players. Saturday Swatches Platinum is sequentially numbered to 99 or less and showcases a premium piece of jersey on each card, while the rare Saturday Swatches Patch Edition is numbered to 25 or less.
“We expect Press Pass Legends Football to be one of the top products released this year,” explained Nick Matijevich, Director of Product Development for Press Pass Inc. “While continuing our tradition of delivering collectors player-touched, on-card autographs, we’ve taken this set to the next level with the tremendous retired content. Player collectors and school collectors alike are going to be wowed by the amazing collegiate photography we’ve been able to come up with, some of it originating as far back as the 1940’s. As successful as this brand has been the last few years, we definitely feel that we’ve improved the product for 2009.”
2009 Press Pass Legends Football features a 100-card premium base set and is slated to release on July 22, 2009.
