Upper Deck Announces First Weekly Winner of Box Break Contest

The guys from ‘Front Row Sports Cards’ in Severna Park, Maryland, earn top honors for their video entry in Upper Deck new ‘Diamond Vision’ promotion

North Las Vegas, NV (May 8, 2008) – Collectors uploading videos of themselves opening up Upper Deck products is nothing new, but winning prizes for their efforts is. Upper Deck started a new promotion last week called “Show Us Your Box Breaks!” Collectors who post their videos on Upper Deck’s new “Diamond Vision” website powered by Magnify.net will have the opportunity to win either a box of cards, Upper Deck Authenticated memorabilia or even a trip for two to one of the World Series games at this year’s Fall Classic!.



Collectors who visit Breaks can easily post videos of themselves opening Upper Deck products to be entered into the weekly contest. Collectors who visit the site can vote for their favorites. Upper Deck then takes the top 10 entries and judges them based on excitement, emotion, creativity and the overall cards they pulled. Clint Legg, Bill Bryant and Ryan Schear from Front Row Sports Cards in Severna Park, Maryland, comprise the first weekly winners of the promotion for having such a ball opening up boxes of Upper Deck’s 2008 Draft Edition Football.

“We were excited to find out that Upper Deck would be hosting video box break competitions because it’s a great idea with some very nice prizes,” said Legg. “We try to do video box breaks every Friday and encourage customers to open their boxes on video. The trip for two to the World Series would be awesome. I’ve always wanted to attend a World Series game and this gives me the chance I wouldn’t ordinarily have.”
