‘Dice-K’ is 4-0 this season and his autograph cards are just as hot
Carlsbad, CA – (April 24, 2008) – If collectors are looking for one of the hottest Japanese imports in recent history, they need to look no further than Upper Deck’s recent baseball card releases. Boston Red Sox starter Daisuke “Dice-K” Matsuzaka has been on fire this season and so have the performances of his autographed and game-used memorabilia cards in the secondary market.
Upper Deck randomly inserted his 2007 UD Premier autograph rookie cards (numbered to just 18), along with his autographed “Premier Stitchings” cards (numbered to 25) into its 2008 UD Premier Baseball set on top of other exciting Matsuzaka content. Their performances have been incredibly strong on the open market with the rookie cards selling for as high as $970 and the “Premier Stichings” card selling for close to $400.
The 2008 UD Premier Baseball release also provides collectors with the opportunity to find other exciting content from this year’s rookie class and the rare “Signs of History” cards which feature autograph cut signatures from one or more of each of the U.S. Presidents in history. The product also features a significant amount of content from Babe Ruth and many other retired legends. Ruth will also be prominently featured in 2008 MLB SP Legendary Cuts and 2008 MLB SPx.
Collectors can find 2008 UD Premier Baseball in stores now.
