TOPPS CREATES TWO EXCLUSIVE SETS FOR 2007 NATIONAL COLLECTOR’S CONVENTION

Topps announces that it has created two special sets for the 2007 National Collector’s Convention in Cleveland, OH. One is available exclusively via wrapper redemption at the Topps Booth and the other is available through the show’s VIP package

WRAPPER REDEMPTION (At the Topps Booth)

Topps has created a special 8-card 2007 Allen & Ginter set that pays homage to young Ohio sports stars. Collectors opening 3 packs of any 2007 Topps/Bowman product (only 2007 Baseball, 2007 Football and 2006-07 Basketball) can redeem their 3 wrappers for the following exclusive Allen & Ginter Cards. Collectors will have choice between a regular 2 ½ x 3 ½ version and a mini version (original sized). Schedule will be announced at show.

• NCC2 Joe Thomas, Cleveland Browns
• NCC3 Ted Ginn Jr, Miami Dolphins
• NCC4 Grady Sizemore, Cleveland Indians

• NCC6 Victor Martinez, Cleveland Indians
• NCC7 Greg Oden, Portland Trailblazers

VIP CARDS

Topps returns to “The National” with its popular “Cards That Never Were” with 5 cards from 1957. One 4-card cello pack will be issued to each VIP guest. The subjects are as follows:

• # 408 Roger Maris, Cleveland Indians
  
• # 409 Roberto Clemente –Future Star, Pittsburgh Pirates
  
• # 410 Mickey Mantle – A.L. MVP, New York Yankees
  
• # 411 Mickey Mantle/Yogi Berra – World Series Teammates, New York Yankees
  
• # 412 Bob Feller, Cleveland Indians

This post mislead me a bit. I went expecting to get the enitre set but could only get one card. And I only had choice of minis.

Quinn card is cool but sounds like Browns fans are starting to get a little upset with him as they did with Couch. He needs to sign and get into camp. As for the cards themselves though I have posted before how great they are for both in person and ttm autographing---I'd love to get me hands on the Feller as that one could be signed pretty easily. Good stuff from Topps

I am in no way blaming you. I know you had no control over it. I just wanted to post that so if anyone went over the weekend thinking the same thing as I did, they would know.

I was surprised by how they did their redemption. Only gave away 100 of each player per day...and it only took 3 packs! They sold out way too fast every day.
I bought a box of Allen & Ginter and got no redemption cards from them, cause by 11AM, they had none left for that day! (I busted a box at Donruss at the end of the day - around 5:45 when they close at 6:00 - and still got their stuff!)
they should have made it 5 packs at least IMO...
or, have a special one for box breakers...?!?
