Upper Deck Saves the Most Unique Game-Used Items for This Mid-Summer Classic

Carlsbad, CA – (June 29, 2007) – When collectors pull a game-used jersey or game-used bat card from packs, they frequently wonder, “I wonder where the rest went.” Upper Deck puts those thoughts to rest with 2007 Upper Deck Artifacts Baseball which features some of the most unique game-used insert cards in the hobby today.



Collectors will be able to find game-used inserts that feature actual buttons and tags from jerseys players wore. The one of one inserts called Rare Apparel feature the player’s autograph and a game-used button, tag and patch for one of the most unique cards ever seen. They will also be able to find very rare one of one game-used bat knob cards of some of the greatest sluggers in baseball.



Besides the chase of pulling these higher end pieces, collectors will find value in box purchases as they are slated to yield three memorabilia cards numbered to 299 or less and one Auto-Facts signature card. These Auto-Facts cards began gathering some great buzz when they were released in an unannounced preview version for 2007 SPx Baseball last month.



“Value and chase are what makes this product so much fun to collect,” said Gregg Kohn, Baseball Product Manager for Upper Deck. “Collectors will be very happy with what the pull from a box, but in some cases, they have the potential to be ecstatic, being the guy in the card shop that everyone remembers as pulling the card. The Rare Apparel and Bat Knob cards give collectors the opportunity to pull an Exquisite type insert in a much more affordable pack.”

2007 Artifacts Baseball comes with ten packs per box and four cards per pack with a suggested retail price of $9.99 per pack. The product is set to his store shelves on July 5th.
