Hoopscollector.com banner needs help.

Scott, I do not want to be mean or anything but as a site improvement, the banner at the top could sure use some improvement. It's too bloody red. In some cases, it is so red that I can't make out the faces on some of the players.
I do not have the know how, but I am sure some of the other members are good at designs.
Do I smell a contest from the owners for best banner design ?????

I think there going for the USA feel. Hence the red color. Its not that bad.
