Warning Ebay Ripoff

IF this is the wrong place-please move-if I get in trouble I am sorry for my actions-I will keep in clean

So if some of you don't know I collect tyson chandler- and i have a string of good luck- i just bought two one on ones for under 15 bucks-So i was scanning ebay and came across this great one of one(0r so I thought)I put in a bid of 20-hoping I could get another one for a great deal.Well I look again and I see I have won it for a mere .99-I am jumping through the roof-So I send paypal and today I get the card-and turn it over a the 1/1 was typed on their with an old school typewriter-first I started to laugh becuase I knew I had been had.Then I got pissed because hey four bucks is four bucks and I earned that money.Then I went back to the auction and it said 1/1 made but it was unclear.I know some of you think it is my fault and it probably was to some point.This is actually a post to help some of out members-i don't want you to get screwed,especially the player collectors. I thought about it, what if another chandler collector saw this too and bet up to 19..I would be out more than my four bucks.I did some research and some guy paid 40 for a yao ming card.Is this what society has come to? Where you have to trick people to make a profit.This guy is gutless...I hope I can save one member here because this is a great palce and I wouldn't want anyone to feel as bad as I did today.For us player collector or any collector..when you get that special card in..it makes your day.SO LOOK OUT FOR THIS GUY.I KNow some will say it is your own fault for not reading the auction closely and i apoligize for post this and making it so long..but it kinda made me feel better.Thanks

Ouch sorry to hear that, but at least it was only $4. Just curious if you left the guy a negative feedback or neutral?

these happens a lot. Many sellers custom their cards and list them as 1 of 1.
Saw a lot of those on pippen items

and the seller has more than 3000 feedback rating.. is it true that there is no one to trust on this planet anymore??
Now, i do have a question though. I remember that a typewriter has this roller to feed the paper in and then there is another stick attached to hold the paper in place. And if the guy used this kind of typewriter to produce his own 1/1, I think the card would get some kind of damage or at least a sign that it had been rolled to get its 1/1 print. Does it show any sign of how it had been typed?

Thats pretty lame he did that. But 2 things would have had me very suspicious--crappy picture that isn't detailed enough to see anything with a very vague description, and that the guy has so many 1/1s for sale from the same set.

I don't think you are at fault at all even if you would of read the description. Like Fido said its very vague. If my memory serves me correctly I think someone got in BIG trouble from one of the card companies for doing something very similar. The Skybox LE has true 1/1 cards in it so you might try and contact Skybox and see if there is anything they can do to the seller.

Yep--that is why it is so shady because there are 1/1s in that set. Reputable sellers would include scans that clearly show the factory imprinted 1/1 mark. Where this guy says "...1/1 Made" made me think--is he saying he made them 1/1 or the vendor only made 1 of these cards.

I'd return it for a refund for a misleading description of the card.

I came across this auction as well, actually the Odom 1/1. There are 2 different basecards in the set as far as I know, retail are just as any orther card but hobby are all diecut.

I used to have the Odom 1/1 (purple printing instead of silver) and so I knew this must be a hoax but was not sure until know.....
