Hockey Night In Canada Theme Song GONE??

I can't believe that CBC would even consider not having the theme song being played when a game is on. I know $500.00 for each time it's played is a lot but that song has been around for as long as I can remember.

I heard on the radio some big wig somewhere is going to get a hold of Don Cherry and get his view on this idea.

I don't think Don will be pleased. How about you?

I woke up to this news this morning. As one in the States that lives close enough to Canada to get the CBC games on Saturday night---that song rocks it will be sad to see them not play it with all the old clips of the games gone past. I've also heard rumors CBC may not be broadcasting the games down the road---I hope that does not happen as CBC is the only channel I can get from across the border and Hockey Night in Canada rocks.

I know! I thought, "why would they get rid of something that everybody knows"? I didn't think it was smart on their part by getting rid of it.
