In the West Dallas faces off against Detroit

while in the East Pitt tries to rush by Philly.

It will make for a good stanley cup as Penn will be represented by either Pitt or Philly while Det and Dallas slug it out.

Detroit won a big game tonight going up in the series 2 to 0. Dallas played well in this one but ended up losing 2-1. I look for Dallas to play much better in game three and won't be shoked to see them win by the score of 4-2 or some combo of a two or more goal win.

Series now heads to Dallas for games 3 and 4

Detroit dominated most of this game but Dallas has showing signs of life and I have to believe game four will go to Dallas as they will battle till the horn goes. At any rate Pavel Datsyuk led the Wings tonight with his first ever hat trick including the regular season. Jiri Hudler had the big goal on a break away to give Detroit a 3-2 lead and then in the third Henrik Zetterberg turned Brad Richards inside out in a scoring a short handed goal, then later took on four Dallas players stealing the puck and feeding it to a wide open Datsyuk for his hat trick.

Detroit wins game 3 by the score 5-2.

Pitt wins tonight to go up 3 games to 0 vs. Philly. Tonight the Pens beat the Flyers 4-1 and move to within one game of making it to the stanley cup finals.

Dallas comes out flying tonight and with a couple of breaks one being on a power play that was waived off when Thomas Holmstrom was ruled in the crease when clearly he was not. At any rate Dallas jumped at the opporunity and scored a big late second period goal. In the third Detroit scored early to tie it but Dallas came back and scored two more to win the game 3-1. A huge win for Dallas and now with Detroit up 3 games to 1 we head back to Detroit for game five.

Like Dallas and Detroit series Philly was able to come out tonight and push the series to a fifth game by beating the Pens 4-2. I dont see either Philly or Dallas winning the next one but winning the fourth game of a series is the hardest one to get so anything can happen.

Dallas gets a huge road win today and Marty Turco finally gets his first ever professional win @ Joe Louis Arena. Dallas held off the Wings today winning the game 2-1 and forcing a game six in Dallas.
I think Dallas has the momentum now and will win game 6 forcing a game seven in Detroit.

Pitt takes out Philly today to advance to the Stanley Cub finals. The first time they have been there since winning in 1992. Pitt now awaits the winner of the Detroit vs. Dallas series.

Detroit sends Dallas packing tonight by defeating Dallas 4-1. Detroit will now face Pitt in the Stanley Cup finals.
