Default 06-07 Be A Player Portraits

06-07 Be A Player Portraits

The new release of 06-07 Be A Player Portraits is sure to please even the most hardcore Autograph collectors. With 6 packs per box and 1 8X10 Autograph per pack this is going to be a big hit. This reviewer hasn't seen anything to compare to the great photographs used in the 8X10 Auto's in a very long time.

Each pack contains:
1 - 8X10 Auto
1 - base card
1 - 2nd year player Jersey card
1 - Rookie card

Here's what I got.

8X10 Auto's single:

Colby Armstrong - Penguins
Daniel Paille - Sabres
Matt Stajan - Maple Leafs
Ryan Miller - Sabres
Mikko Koivu - Wild
Steve Bernier - Sharks

8X10 Dual Auto:

Nikolai Khabibulin/Tuomo Ruutu

Base cards:

Pavel Datsyuk, Ed Belfore, Todd Bertuzzi, Chris Pronger, Marty Turco & Paul Kariya.

2nd Year player Jersey cards:

Jim Howard - Red Wings
Eric Nystrom - Flames
Ryan Getzlaf - Mighty Ducks
Thomas Vanek - Sabres
Brandon Bochenski - Blackhawks
Gilbert Brule - Blue Jackets

Rookies:

Yan Stastny - Bruins
Shea Weber - Nashville
Loui Eriksson - Stars
Ryan Potulny - Flyers
Eric Fehr - Capitals (2)

Final Thoughts -

How can I complain when I got an extra 8X10 Auto. The last pack had 2 in it. Although I got a double RC of Eric Fehr, the rookie cards from this release have a great look to them.

My favorite card is the Jim Howard jersey, mainly because i still get to watch him play in the minors (Grand Rapids Griffins) for right now. The Dual Auto is my next favorite.

I will have to give Upper Deck a straight "A" for this release. I intend to go buy some more !!

I would like to thank Upper Deck and Trader Retreat for giving me the chace to review this product.

I don't trade cards at "book value" anymore - those prices are ridiculous. I swap cards for the fun of it for my wants/needs to satisfy both traders.
