Default 2006-2007 Trilogy Hockey Review

2006-2007 Trilogy Hockey

The new Trilogy Hockey is here. This is a higher end product that offers one Rookie, Game-used or Auto per pack. Each box contains 9 packs with 5 cards per pack with the exception of 4 cards when a plexi-glass is in the pack.

The base cards:

The Rookie cards:

The Game-used cards:

Frozen in Time Plexi-glass card:

The Auto's:

The bases cards use very nice photography on them. I like the looks of the black and white background and highlight the players. With all the new technology out there today, sometimes old school pictures are the most eye pleasing. The Rookie cards are numbered to #999. They look nice, but with a higher end product, I think the foil cards are a little out of place.

The Game-used Honorary Swatches are some of the best looking jersey cards I have seen. I really like the fact that the jersey piece doesn't cut into the players picture. The Frozen in Time card has an amazing look to it. It almost looks like the player is frozen into the ice. It came in the pack with a protective coating on it that needed to be peeled off. They are also numbered to #999.

The Auto's. The Trilogy Scripts are good looking cards. It's always nice to get a great action shot and again not have the sticker and white panel cover the picture. The Ice Scripts plexi-glass Auto is another matter. This is a fantastic card!! The main problem with it though is that it is an On-the-card Auto, and when placed into a pack of cards, the cards rubbed on it and put a small series of scratches into the Auto.

Overall I liked the Ice Scripts Auto the best. It's really hard not to like the on card Auto's.

I would rate this product with a B+.

I would like to thank our friends at Upper Deck and Trader Retreat for giving me the chance to review this product.

Are any of these for trade? I can use the autos and the Bourque Jsy.
Thanks.

I don't trade cards at "book value" anymore - those prices are ridiculous. I swap cards for the fun of it for my wants/needs to satisfy both traders.
