I'll go first..
hockey wasn't even on my radar till the 1990 season when the pens selected a foreigner named Jagr. They went on to win 2 cups in a row and made the steel city a winner again. I've watched ever since even during the horrible years like the last 2. The new rules make hockey even more exciting with wide open skating and more scoring..
My favorite team is the pens and my favorite player is Jordan Staal.. I think he has a shot to be a superstar and is really young. With stars like Crosby and Malkin taking all the headlines he has room to grow and make mistakes without to much notice..

I started following hockey when Jaromir Jagr started playing for the Penguins. It is one of the best sports to watch because of the non-stop action, hitting, and fights. It just stinks that the only channel they every show games on anymore I don't get. Some day I'll have to open the wallet and get the Center Ice package that shows all of the games.
My favorite player is still Jaromir Jagr, even though he is no longer on my favorite team. He is one of the greatest puck handlers of all time, and it drives me crazy that he did not make the all-star team this year. He should be a fixture for the game. Thanks.

I love hockey for one reason - it's the only sport I can watch and not want to fall asleep. And it's a blast to play, even tho I am far from a "Miracle on Ice" out there, LOL !
My wife loves hockey - when we met, she didn't like any sports...fortunately for me that was the year the Avalanche were making their first run to the cup in 1996 and I brought her along to my buddies' house to watch a game. By the end of the game she was jumping up and down yelling at the TV. Needless to say, there is no problem grabbing the remote and switching to the game without any complaint
I like a lot of players around the league, there's somebody on almost every team I can enjoy watching on any given night, but my favorite local player is Wojtek Wolski. He still needs to hone his game at the NHL level, but from what I've seen so far I'm looking forward to his next few years in the league.
Thanks!
