Topps Puck Attack Starter Game:
Contains:
1 play mat with rules
12 base game cards
4 foil game cards
Topps Pack Attack is a game set up for ages 6 and above. The object is to mix up 2 goalie cards, 4 defense cards and 6 offense (2 shifts) of cards than placing cards faced down on the game board. One additional card is chosen ahead of time for the shootout, should a tie take place at end of regulation play. Once the cards are shuffled and randomly placed on the board, the first person picks a card (playing offense) while the second player than picks a card (playing defense); the highest number scores the goal. If there is a tie in the numbers no goal is scored. The player who wins the round picks first in the next round. Each card has an offense and defense number,including goalies. The player who scores the most goals in the two shifts is the winner. Should there be a tie, the final card is turned over as the shootout to determine the winner.
The Game:
What I really like about this product is that it is really easy-to-play. A game can be completed in a matter of minutes. The other really nice thing about this product is it is geared for the younger fans(something I think the hobby has gotten away from in the last decade with all the high-priced product geared more towards the serious fan). I think we have lost a generation of card collectors; however, products like this will help bring back the younger fans (future sports card collectors). The one drawback I see is the game board is nothing more than a lightly laminated piece and will rip fairly easily over time.
The Game Cards:
Although there is nothing fancy about the game cards, no game used, no autographs, no short prints, I still find the cards to be very nice as each booster pack contains 6 cards and one of the six is a foil card. Each booster box contains 24 packs of six cards.

Final Thoughts:
I put the cards on the living room floor to see if my 10 year-old boy would play with them. What I found is that my boy flipped the game board over and read the rules of the game and quickly picked up how to play the game. I really liked the product in the sense that it is focused on the young fan and adults can play the game with their kids. I liked the shape of the cards (like pucks) and how each photo is an action shot showing the players in their respective jerseys.
Here's how I would rate this product:
Value = 3
Innovation = 4
Fun and Experience = 3
Rebuy Value = 2
