According to Dedina, as of Wednesday, sharks were being killed in Troncones to appease surfers. The Shark hunt was ordered by Ministry of Communications and Transport.

Meanwhile, Wildcoast just launched a new campaign reduce shark slaughter in Mexico

THIS IS WHAT UPSETS ME.. Surfers enter the sharks world, the shark is only doing what is natural and feeding but it's somehow their fault.. Like when someone goes into the woods and is killed by a mountain lion or bear they act like it's the animals fault and hunt them down as man eaters.. I had hamburger for supper I hope the cows don't get p@ssed off and hunt me down as a cow killer and slaughter me...

Yeah, we (Surfers) know that we are entering the top of the food chains world when we get in the water. If you notice it's not the surfers killing the sharks, it's the locals not wanting surfers to go away and stop spending the money. I bet if you looked around the spot where the guys was bitten you would have seen surfers out in the water that day and if not the next day for sure. The closest I have ever been to a shark is arm's reach. There was no glass between us.

Thats why my pudgy butt stays away from the ocean. They see me and think "Oooo All you can eat buffet".

Why not kill off all jelly-fish. Youre more likely to get hit by one of them then become shark-bait.
