Clinton Makes my Fathers day

Bill Clinton was scheduled to speak in the area (next town over) which is about seven miles away.. I RSVP my father plus one to go hear him speak and my brother took time before work to drive him over..

Clinton was an hour late and when he pulled in it was next to my brothers van, they had given my father a Hillary 08 hat and put him up front since he is a war Vet and in a wheel chair(they put him in front of the Mayor and the guards).. When they pulled in before they got out of the car my brother asked the head of his security if he would sign the hat for my father(and Bill took it through the window and signed it) Then told my brother after the speech he would be coming out the side door to have my father over there so he could meet him..

After the speech President Clinton came out and bypassed all the other people and went right to my father to shake his hand and tell him "Thank you for coming out today it's an honor" Then held onto my fathers hand(left one as his right side is paralized) while he shook other people hands and talked with my father for some time.

My father is still beaming from his experience and couldn't wait to show me the hat and call my other brother in Ohio.. A lot of people don't agree with Bills politics but as a person I have to say he is a class act to me and made my fathers day(one of best days of his life he said besides marrying my mother about 45 years ago)..

Very cool...not a Clinton supporter by any means but thats is a nice story.

That is an awesome story. Believe or not, I am a Hilary Clinton quiet supporter and yes, I am in the military.

My brother and father are supporters now and they both served in military (my father in Korea and brother in first Gulf War..)

very cool. He spoke here in Easton, but they wanted something outrageous for a ticket (I couldve sworn the paper said $500, not sure though). Ive never been a big Hiliary fan, but what after Obama said about "Small Town PA" and clinging to "our religion and guns", it kinda shifted my thoughts on Hilliary a bit. (I still dont like any of the 3 LOL... McCain, Hilliary or Obama. Maybe Ill vote for my cat

I will say being both an athiest and non violent(Don't hunt or kill animals(they never did anything to me and I don't consider it a sport)) I didn't find those comments all that offensive...The Republican party has believed this for years that's why they run on a platform of Guns, God, Gays knowing thats a hot button with most americans...

I don't want to but will probably vote for whoever the Dem. nominee is as I don't want 4 years of "McBush"

Was really hoping Jesse Ventura ran but as he pointed out it's impossible for an independant to make a serious run with all the rules, I don't understand why when your running for a national office the rules to get on the ballot are different for each state??? And you can not even get in on the debates, if Ross Perot wasn't such an ego maniac and didn't destroy the green party there would be a viable 3rd party today...

Picture was quick, before he got out of car my brother handed him in a hat through the window and asked for it to be signed.. He signed it and when he saw my father in the chair told him which door he would be coming out and to meet him there..

He came out and rushed over to my father(bypassing the Mayor, Firmen etc.) and went right to my father(who was sitting in his chair with a blanket) The secret service wasn't expecting it so they put their hands on their guns and ran to him(not knowing there was nothing under the blanket

..) he shook his hand and talked to him for a while and my fathers head is still swallen today...

This is the only picture because it was so unexpected and was taken through a cell phone.. Went to store today and the guy standing in background taking pictures was there.. He said he would flip through them and let us know if he got any better ones..
