97 or 98 Donruss Signature, (if you're looking for a baseball set). Both are great looking cards that aren't too hard to find. ~ "Nail"

In all honest, its up to you. It depends on several things. What you like, players you like, size of the set etc etc. The most important one is how deep are your pockets or trade bait. Not long before I stopped doing sports cards I tried doing the Leaf Limited "limited cuts". They were the autos on the patch material. Good idea and looked cool with a decent player selection and it wasnt a huge set. Only drawback was that the way the ink bled on the patch material. I also tried, I think it was 04, 04 spx swatch supremecy auto jsy cards. Same reasons as before. They looked nice, decent player selection etc etc.

Top 50 NBA players of all time as printed in the mid/late 90s. I am down to one left-Maravich.
