Here's what was included in the the 2008 Bowman Chrome Football Break:
Base Cards and Parallels:

The base cards in this set are depicted by the red borders on the sides and bottom of the cards, surrounded by a solid black border. Each card has an action shot of the player with their name and the Bowman Chrome logo. The only thing that I can say negative about the design is with the black border, it is very easy to see any flaw on the card with ease. The base refractors we pulled are Matt Leinart, Adrian Peterson, Ryan Grant, Anquan Boldin, Jerricho Cotchery, and Calvin Johnson. Also pulled was a Marshawn Lynch Red Refractor (#'d to 5) and a Lendale White X-Fractor (#'d to 250).
Coach Cards and Parallels:

The coach cards are similar to the base cards, with the only difference being the green borders on them. No coach parallels were pulled.
Rookie Cards and Parallels:
The rookie cards follow the set design, with blue borders on them. We pulled 18 rookies, including, Steve Slaton, Chris Long, Jake Long, and Felix Jones. Parallels pulled were: Mike Hart Blue Refractor (#'d to 150), Mike Hart Bronze Box Topper (#'d to 329), Jamal Charles Refractor, Andre Caldwell Refractor, and Marcus Henry Refractor.
Autograph:
The autograph we pulled is of Paul Smith, QB of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Paul played for the University of Tulsa in college. The auto is P-scribble, S-scribble, but he did go to the effort of putting his jersey number.
Final Thoughts on 2008 Bowman Chrome Football:
Whether you are a set collector, player collector, or a team collector, Bowman Chrome has something for you. Bowman Chrome is a set that includes some of the lesser known rookies, so you never know what gem you may end up with (example: Tony Romo - 2003). Bowman Chrome has always been one of my favorite products to bust due to the wide varities of rookies, outstanding base set design, and those beautiful refractors. Boxes of this product run in the mid $50 range, so for the price, it is a fun, cheaper break with the chance to hit something big.
Here's how I would rate this product :
- Value = 4
- Innovation = 5
- Fun and Experience = 5
- Rebuy Value = 4
I rate this product an "A" for Topps!
I would like to thank Topps along with Trader Retreat for giving me the chance to review this new product.
