Here's what I pulled in our box of 2008 Topps Kickoff Football.

Base Card and Rookie Cards

The base cards have a similar look to regular tops only with a white border. We received 143/220 card set, but were 55/55 of the rookie cards! There were 18 doubles which 17/18 were rookies! We received 12 Puzzle cards, 6 Stars of the Game insert cards, 1 Tattoo and 36 Kickoff Parallel cards.

Inserts and Insert Parallel cards.

Each pack has one parallel Kickoff insert numbered to 1349. Of the 36 we received, 9 were rookies - one of which was Felix Jones! The “Puzzle Card” insert is a blast from the past, on one side a picture of a star or rookie and the picture on the other side is a piece of the puzzle - a collage of football greats and rookies. Another sharp looking insert is the “Stars of the Game” - beautiful foil based card, included in the set are many top rookies and current stars. The final insert we received in our box was a “Tattoo” card of the Buffalo Bills, tattoo cards are found one per box.

Final Thoughts on 2008 Topps Kickoff Football;

This is a very nice product with for both those wanting all the major 2008 rookies. These boxes can usually be had for around $30 on most sites that I have checked. This will be a fairly easy set to put together, considering we pulled all the rookies, we got the most important part taken care of. While it would have been nice to pull an autograph or game used, I think this is a great inexpensive set of very nice looking cards.

I rate this product an "A-" for Topps! I would have liked a complete set and perhaps a “hit“ in the box, but overall a great deal for the money.
