Default 2007 Topps Triple Threads Football

2007 Topps Triple Threads Football

2007 Topps Triple Threads Football design really pops. This is a product that delivers what a collector usually only dreams about. It is a really great product from Topps in the medium to high price range with the possibility of great rewards, from Hall of Famers to Today's Stars. All of the base cards are numbered. What makes this a truly wonderful set to collect is the card layout. The player looks like he is ready to sprint off the card into your hand. If you are a in person autographs or through the mail autographs collector then this is the perfect card for you.

Set Features;

Each sealed box contains 2 packs of 6 cards each in a 100 card base set. >>> Each box contains ONE Triple Memorabilia card and ONE Triple Memorabilia Autograph card. Parallel sets: Sepia (#`d to 499), Emerald (#`d to 199), Gold (#`d to 99), Sapphire (#`d to 25), Platinum (each is a 1-of-1), and Framed Printing Plates (each is a 1-of-1). Inserts: Triple Memorabilia cards 1:2 (#`d to 36; Sepia > #`d to 27, Emerald > #`d to 18, Gold > #`d to 9, Sapphire > #`d to 3, and Platinum > each is a 1-of-1; Prime: #`d to 18; Gold > #`d to 9, Sapphire > #`d to 3, Platinum > each is a 1-of-1; Combos: #`d to 36; Sepia > #`d to 27, Emerald > #`d to 18, Gold > #`d to 9, Sapphire > #`d to 3, and Platinum > each is a 1-of-1; and Double Combos: #`d to 36; Sepia > #`d to 27, Emerald > #`d to 18, Gold > #`d to 9, Sapphire > #`d to 3, and Platinum > each is a 1-of-1) and Triple Memorabilia Autograph cards 1:2 (Rookie > #`d to 99; (#`d to 36; Sepia > #`d to 75, Emerald > #`d to 50, Gold > #`d to 25, Sapphire > #`d to 10, Platinum > each is a 1-of-1, "White Whale" Printing Plates > each is a 1-of-1, Prime: #`d to 25; Red > #`d to 25, Black > each is a 1-of-1, White Whale" Printing Plates > each is a 1-of-1; NFL Greats > #`d to 18; Gold > #`d to 9, Sapphire > #`d to 3, Platinum > each is a 1-of-1, "White Whale" Printing Plates > each is a 1-of-1; Combos > #`d to 36; Sepia > #`d to 27, Emerald > #`d to 18, Gold > #`d to 9, Sapphire > #`d to 3, Platinum > each is a 1-of-1, "White Whale" > each is a 1-of-1; Heroes > #`d to 18; Gold > #`d to 9, Sapphire > #`d to 3, Platinum > each is a 1-of-1, "White Whale" Printing Plates > each is a 1-of-1; and Dual Crest Rookie Combos > each is a 1-of-1).

EVERY PACK CONTAINS:
  • A Triple Relic Autograph Card OR A Triple Relic Card
  • 5 Parallel card numbered to 1499 or less, inserted 5 per pack

Here's what we pulled in our box of 2007 Topps Triple Threads Football.

Base and Parallel Cards;

The 2007 Topps Triple Threads logo is placed just above the players name which is centered at the bottom of the card. While background color explodes out of the logo with rays emanating from the logo as well. Active and Retired Players have their position center top although Hall of Fame players have the year they were inducted, example - "INDUCTED HALL OF FAME 2004". The bio is short yet lists all of the particulars needed. There is a section called "TRIPLE TAKE" that describes something about the player the average fan might not know and how they rank against their competition or their place in NFL history.

The J.P. Losman, Carnell Williams, and John Elway are numbered to /1499, they are the base. The Braylon Edwards is numbered to /199, so it's the Emerald version. The LaDainain Tomlinson is numbered to /639, so it's the Sepia version.

Triple Relic Pull;

The Terry Bradshaw is a TRIPLE RELIC CARD numbered to 27, so it's the Sepia version. A very high-quality triple relic card of a player from my favorite team.

Final Thoughts on 2007 Topps Triple Threads Football;

2007 Topps Triple Threads Football is a higher priced, high-quality sports card product. You can usually find these boxes in the $116 to $156 price range on sites I have checked. Packs can be had for around $60 as well. It seems to be a hit-or-miss product in regards to value for your money. Hopefully, one of your pulls in a box would be a keeper.

Here's how I would rate this product;
  • Value = 4
  • Innovation = 4
  • Fun and Experience = 5
  • Rebuy Value = 4
I rate this product an "A-" for Topps!

I would like to thank Clay from Topps and Trader Retreat for giving me the chance to review this new product.
