Default 2007 Topps Bowman Football

2007 Bowman Football

2007 Bowman Football – This is another Topps product I look forward to every year. Bowman home of the rookie card has come through to live up to the name with the release of this years product. Two chrome rookies in every pack along with four regular version rookies in every pack.165 promising rookies in regular and chrome versions. 20 of the most talented Rookies of 2007 are also highlighted on Autographed variations of their base cards, including JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn. Sequentially numbered* to 199.

Set Features;

Each sealed box contains 24 packs of 10 cards each (7 Bowman, 2 Bowman Chrome, and 1 parallel) in a 275 card base set including 165 Rookies (including 20 Autograph Rookie variations > #`d to 199). >>> Each box contains ONE Memorabilia card and ONE Autograph card. Parallel sets: Gold 1:1, Blue (#`d to 500), Orange (#`d to 250), & Red (each is a 1-of-1) and Bowman Chrome: Refractor (#`d to 500), X-Fractor (#`d to 275), Blue (#`d to 150), Gold (#`d to 50), Orange (#`d to 25), Red (#`d to 5), & SuperFractor (each is a 1-of-1). Inserts: 1948 Flashbacks 1:1 (also Autograph > #`d to 199 and Red parallel > hand #`d to 48), Memorabilia cards 1:24 (Fabric of the Future: Single, Single Gold > #`d to 100, Dual > #`d to 50, and Dual Gold > #`d to 25; Bowman Draft Day: Cap, Jersey, and Cap/Jersey > #`d to 50; Rookie Rewind Throwback: Single and Single Gold > #`d to 50), and Autograph cards 1:24 (Signs of the Future: Single, Single Gold > #`d to 50, Dual > #`d to 50 and Dual Gold > #`d to 10; Rookie Coaches, and Signature Series > #`d to 50).

Here's what I pulled in our box of 2007 Bowman Football.

Base Cards and Parallels;

I like the card design, but I'm not to keen on the dark borders all around the card (front and back). The front of the cards has the players name on the top and the Bowman logo on the bottom. That's it on the front except for an exceptional action shot of your favorite players. The back of the cards was thought out real nicely with a bio section and a statistical section. Also, on the bottom is the section called Bowman Briefing. It list the players resume, skill set and player evolution. We pulled (9) Gold version, (1) orange version /250 and one blue version /500.

Rookie Cards and Parallels;

This is the area that sets Bowman apart from the other card products of the same price range. "Bowman Home Of The Rookie Card" comes through in a big rush with 6 rookie cards on average in every pack. In the upper right hand corner there is a new RC logo affixed. The back of the cards has the same bio formation is include as on the base cards.

Here's the breakdown of rookies from our box of 2007 Bowman Football;
  • (94) Bowman Regular RCs
  • (47) Bowman Chrome RCs
  • (14) Bowman Gold RCs
  • (1) Bowman Blue RCs
  • (1) Blue Bowman Chrome refractor /150
  • (1) Auto
  • (1) Game-used
Game-Used Cards;

Our game-used card was an Antonio Pittman Fabric Of The Future authentic player-worn jersey. Nice piece, but with all of the jersey to use you would think that making multi-colored jerseys would be a goal to strive for.

Autograph Card;

The autograph we pulled is of Kolby Smith of the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bowman Sign Of The Future is always a reachable set to try for if you are inclined to go after an autographed set. This years design is far superior than anything from the near past. Nice high-quality and well-balanced card.

Final Thoughts on 2007 Bowman Football;

A very nice lower-end product with a lot of value for the rookie card lover in most of us. Great value for the money here again for this Topps product! I definitely like the autograph and game-used guarantee per box (nice Topps). These boxes can usually be had for between $38 and $49 on most sites that I have checked. If you want a box that's fun to open and has tons of rookies along with a guaranteed game-used and a guaranteed autographed card; this could be the box for you!

Here's how I would rate this product;
  • Value = 5
  • Innovation = 4
  • Fun and Experience = 5
  • Rebuy Value = 4

I rate this product an "A" for Topps!
