Default 2007 Topps Finest Football

2007 Topps Finest Football

2007 Topps Finest Football...always a hot product from Topps with (3) autographs per box. A high-quality set every year and the many different refractors highlight this set as well. 2007 Topps Finest Football presents 50 NFL Rookies, 3 Autographed cards, 6 Parallel cards, 6 Finest Moments cards and 1 Reggie Bush and 1 Vince Young box loader per box!

Set Features;

Each sealed box contains 18 packs (three 6-pack mini boxes) of 6 cards each in a 150 card base set including 50 Rookies. >>> Each box will contain THREE Autograph cards, and ONE each Reggie Bush & Vince Young Finest Moments box loader cards (#`d to 149, 50, and 1). Parallel sets: Refractor, Blue (#`d to 299), Green (#`d to 199), Black (#`d to 99), Gold (#`d to 50), X-Fractor (#`d to 25), White-Framed X-Fractor (each is a 1-of-1), Die-Cut SuperFractor (each is a 1-of-1), and Autograph Rookies 1:6 (also X-Fractor parallels: Blue > #`d to 50, Green > #`d to 25, Black > #`d to 10, and Gold > each is a 1-of-1). Insert: Rookie Finest Moments (2006 Rookies, 2007 Rookies, Veterans; parallels: Refractor, Blue > #`d to 299, Green > #`d to 199, Black > #`d to 99, Gold > #`d to 50, X-Fractor > #`d to 25, White-Framed X-Fractor > each is a 1-of-1, Die-Cut SuperFractor > each is a 1-of-1); Autograph (also Refractor > #`d to 25 and SuperFractor > each is a 1-of-1) and Dual Autograph (also Refractor > #`d to 10 and Gold Refractor > each is a 1-of-1).

Here's what we pulled in our box of 2007 Topps Finest Football.

Base Cards;

Nice new fresh design this year. The Topps Finest logo is in the upper left hand corner and the players name position and team are located in the right hand side border. The back of the card in a short bio and also the players FINEST 2006 MOMENT. For an example, the Tony Romo 2006 Finest Moment states, "Romo shredded the Buccaneers with five TD passes (tying a Dallas record set by Troy Aikman) as the Cowboys celebrated Thanksgiving with a 38-10 romp on November 23rd. His impressive final passing statistics included 22 of 29 for 306 yards, no interceptions and a 148.9 QB rating".

Historically, these cards have had a bow to them from manufacturing. That bow has been almost completely eliminated in this years version of Topps Finest Football.

Rookie Cards;

The rookie cards have a red border all the way around the card. If it's a refractor card the border is colored to the color of the refractor. This makes it real easy to distinguish what you have. The RC designation is in the lower right hand corner of the card and also helps ID the rookies pulled. Other than that the cards are the same as the base previously described. We definitely got our share of rookies in this box. Here's a list of the rookies we pulled from our box;
  • (25) Regular Rookies
  • (2) Green Refractor Rookies /199...Troy Smith and Dwayne Jarrett
  • (1) Blue Refractor /299...Steve Breaston
  • (1) Finest Moments Rookie
  • (2) Finest Moments Rookie Refractors...Kevin Kolb regular and blue
  • (3) Autographed Rookies

Insert Cards and Parallels;

The inserts and parallels in the box met all of the stated odds. One of the best looking parallels are the black refractors. They are really HOT looking this year and are #d to /99. We pulled (2) black refractors in this box (Julius Jones and Jay Cutler). I would have liked to have seen an xfractor, but there were none in this box. Here is a listing of the parallels and inserts we pulled from this box;
  • (3) Regular Refractors
  • (1) Black Refractor /99...Julius Jones
  • (1) Blue Refractor /299
  • (2) Finest Moments Refractor
  • (1) Finest Moments Black Refractor /99...Jay Cutler
  • (4) Finest Moments Regular

Box-Loader Cards;

The box-loaders will be cards of Vince Young of the Titans or Reggie Bush of the Saints. These cards are numbered to /899. We weren't fortunate enough to pull any autographs, but these inserts are two nice inserts from two of the young stars-in-the-making in the NFL.

Autograph Cards;

We pulled three nice autographed cards of three promising rookies. The players we pulled are Jason Hill of the 49ers, Ryne Robinson of the Panthers and Chris Henry of the Titans. All of the autographs are clean, without breaks or bubbling. The Robinso autograph goes off sticker on the left and it does detract from the autographed card. The stickers are on the bottom of the card and the RC logo is moved up above the sticker on these cards. At least the placement of the stickers had a little thought behind it and weren't just placed on the cards as an afterthought.

Final Thoughts on 2007 Topps Finest Football;

I really like the fresh new look of 2007 Finest Football this year! The guaranteed three autographs and the exceptional quality of the entire set is quite evident as soon as you break the first pack. Especially if you can pull a card of a player or team you follow. These boxes can usually be had for between $90 and $115 on most sites that I have checked. Nice design and (3) autographed cards makes this a product worth buying because you have a chance at a quality pull.

Here's how I would rate this product;
  • Value = 4
  • Innovation = 5
  • Fun and Experience = 5
  • Rebuy Value = 4

I rate this product an "A" for Topps! There is definitely value to be had in these boxes. You always want to get that big "MOJO" pull from a box, but the Chris Henry could turn out to be a real nice pull. Value is there if you can get a box on the lower end of the scale. It's always fun to open a Topps Finest box, no matter which sport it is. Rebuy value won't be evident until one of these rookie autographed pulls breaks out and becomes a NFL star.
