Here's what I pulled in our box of 2010 Topps Magic Football.
Base Cards;
In this year’s release all subjects are pictured in their NFL uniforms. The cards feature a non glossy finish with a painted portrait. The bottom left corner displays the NFL team logo followed by the players name and position. In the upper right or left corner the Topps Magic logo is lightly shaded. The base set features a nice variety of legends, commons, stars and rookies. In our box we pulled 117 legend and veterans of the 200 featured in the set or 59% of the full set.
Rookie Cards;
This year’s release of Topps Magic keeps the same design for the rookies with the exception of the RC Rookie Card moniker that is placed directly below the Topps Magic logo. In this years release of the 258 cards in the base set 58 are rookie cards. In our box we pulled 36 of the 58 or 62% with most of the bigger names represented.
Inserts and Minis;
This years release of Topps Magic features miniature variations of the base set. In our box we pulled 20 miniature and 4 of the Black variation of miniatures. The release also features 3 insert subsets. History's Best, Magical Moments and Rookie Stars. In our box we pulled the following inserts:
History's Best we pulled 2 of 10 or 20% of the subset.
Magical Moments we pulled 6 of 20 or 30% of the subset.
Rookie Stars we pulled 2 of 10 or 20% of the subset.
Autographs;

Our box delivered the 3 autos that were advertised. We pulled autos of Fred Davis, Early Doucet and James Jones. This years release features 190 different autographs of the 258 subjects in the base set. While we didn't get a rookie or a huge pull looking at some of the players in the set I'd say our common autograph pulls were average.
Final Thoughts on 2010 Topps Magic Football;
Topps again pays tribute to its first nationally distributed football set. The biggest difference between this years release and last years is the NFL uniforms and stamp cards. I personally prefer sets that feature players depicted in their pro uniforms. The overall design for this release provides a nice flat finish which would be perfect for through the mail or in person autograph seekers. Keeping with the tradition of Magic there appear to be several yet to be released short prints to make it a challenging set for set builders to complete. That being said it makes for a huge set to build. In my opinion condensing the set a little and focusing on major stars, rookies and legends might be more appealing. Our rookie pulls were strong considering we pulled base rookies of just about all of the big names outside of Dez Bryant and Colt McCoy. While our autographs were all common pulls this subset could be condensed a little as well. That being said it does offer a decent value for an average price of $70 for tons of rookies and 3 autos on average. The release does feature several big name and some very nice multiple player autographs. I would think hitting on a big name would make this release a huge value.
Here's how I would rate this product;
I rate this product "B" for Topps.
