All relic cards are paralleled:
Prime Patch - 1 of 1 HOBBY ONLY, Gold - Numbered to 25.

Here's what we pulled in our box of 2010 Topps Prime Football.

Base Cards / Parallels;

Nice design that sort of reminds me of some old fleer ultra, but so much better .Every card features super thick slick 36-pt. card stock. The front simply has the product name and players name, team logo. The back has a short bio along with interesting information about the player. We only saw a couple duplicates, so the set should be fairly easy to complete. Also featured in this set are hobby exclusive numbered base card parallel sets. The Brent Celek was the only base parallel we pulled from the box.

Rookie Cards / Parallels / Inserts;

The rookies are of the same design, and that's great. Not a lot of rookies pulls in this box as far as the base set. Only three actual rookie base cards from the box. Only one of those was a parallel. Now inserts was a different story We pulled all four levels of insert cards from this box. Here's the breakdown as far as insert levels;
  • (3) Single Player
  • (1) Dual Player
  • (2) Triple Player
  • (4) Quad Player

Numbers have been blacked out for possible contest reasons.

Relic Cards;

The relic cards to me are the best designed part of the set. Featured are prime rookie relics of 35 top rookies, with a relic and numbered to 499 or less. We pulled a Mike Williams of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, numbered out of /420. Also, a dual relic of Jonathan Dwyer and Emmanuel Sanders, of the Pittsburgh Steelers number out of /355.

The only thing that would have made them better would have been some prime patches instead of single colored pieces. Also, game-worn would have been better than player worn.

Numbers have been blacked out for possible contest reasons.

Autographed Cards;

The autographed cards we pulled are all of high-quality. From the cards all the way through the autographs and their placement on the stickers. Very seldom do you see two pulled autographs almost perfectly centered on the stickers as these two are.

The players we pulled are Jonathan Crompton of the San Diego Chargers and Brandon Lafell of the Carolina Panthers. The Crompton / 599 autograph is perfect in every way. It's centered, complete and there is no smudging or bubbling. The Lafell /499 is just as clean looks great to me too.

Numbers have been blacked out for possible contest reasons.

Final Thoughts on 2010 Topps Prime Football;

2010 Topps Prime Football is a new product and should become a favorite of collectors. The two guaranteed autographs and two guaranteed jerseys help make 2010 Prime Football one of the big releases of the year. The auto / quad jersey had me thinking triple threads when I saw it. It looked that impressive to me. Base rookies are very hard to come by as we only pulled three, but the rookie inserts were very plentiful and feature most of the top flight rookies.

I would like more base rookies from a box. But, the box did have enough quality in the relic, autograph and insert cards to round off the box nicely.

These boxes can usually be had for between $63 and $79 on most sites that I have checked. The $63 was on ebay and was a great buy at that price point.

Here's how I would rate this product, based on what we experienced during our break;
  • Value = 5
  • Innovation = 4
  • Fun and Experience = 5
  • Rebuy Value = 4
I rate this product a solid "A" for Topps!

Lafell and williams have potential to be pretty good wrs, so down the road that could be a nice box.

good call on being similar to Ultra. However I think they are most like another Topps product of the past, Stadium Club, as far as the photography. Nice set

Yeah, they do have a "Stadium Club" feel to them. Makes me long for the days of Super Team cards!

Nice looking set...kinda light on Broncos though.

Great review.
The product is solid all around and the dual/triple/quads are an interesting twist and change of pace.
