Default N.E. Patriots Cheaters?

Man these guys have so much talent...do they really need to cheat to win?

Is this common practice in the NFL?

what that ole saying? CHEATERS ALWAYS WIN!!! Hate to see it happen--I will be interested to see the final conclusion on how this plays out. Instead of draft picks it would be cool to see the win go to the Jets but I doubt that would happen but would that not send a message to the Pats and every team in the league?

Thats what I'd like to see happen also

Taking away Draft Picks:
That hurts the draft; a few less people will be drafted, and that hurts the entire league IMO.
make it so that only the Pats are affected.
Make them forfeit the Jets game

hope that made sense

p.s. wonder how long it's gone on...maybe some Super Bowls should be reviewed...

It is going to happen no matter what, I think they should be penalized, perhaps a draft pick of theirs goes to the Jets, that way the same number of people are drafted.

I don't like the Patriots coach anyway, he looks like a criminal to me, very unprofessional. I don't care how good the Patriots have done, I respect them for that, but it doesn't mean I have to like the coach!

I think I heard on Mike and Mike (Espn) going to work that the Packers and Lions also caught the Pats doing this last year to their teams. I am sorta interested why nothing happened about it or if those two teams just decided it was not worth going after as it might make them look like cry babies...Sounds like the Pats have some history with doing this...oddly tonight I heard that Coach read a appology note but never stated exactly what he was appologizing for....

The Jets should be given the win.And the Patriots should lose their next 2 first round draft picks.Instead of having one less player drafted, let the team with 1st overall pick also get the last pick in the draft

I don't care about the money because in todays game 500,000 is nothing even for Bill. Draft picks is a ok solution but Davz13 I think made a great point by saying it earlier that by taking away draft picks it hurts one or two players that could have been drafted...I know chances are the last person drafted would end up signing on someone pratice squad but it still hurts the draft imo. I also really like the idea of what ctkenjr wrote and that is instead of the Pats draft pick or picks depending on the playoffs should go to the Jets. At any rate I would imagine the Pats will make the playoffs and will lose their first round pick which based on history of the team will be around 28 or lower thus won't really hurt them all that much---yes will be a very skilled player but not like taking a top ten pick away from them.

I really thought this group had some intelligent people, but from some of the comments I've read I'm beginning to question this.
The Patriots were caught breaking a rule, so they should be disciplined. What they were caught doing, has been a COMMON practice in the NFL. I hear people making a big deal about the Pats videoing the Packers and Lions last year, they did it to every team, that was part of their scouting, other teams have done it, and then other teams have other forms of scouting. The new commissioner chose to try and get a handle on the extent to how teams scout and try to get an advantage on other teams, so the video taping was banned. Belichick has always done it, so he kept doing it, he's guilty for sure, but I disagree with the fact that he's guilty of cheating. If anything he's guilty of being arrogant and not caring what the commisssioner set as the rule. I fully expect the Patriots to continue to try and steal signs this week, just like every other team does, only from now on they will not be able to use a video camera on the field.
What happened last weekend did not affect the game in any way, the camera was taken in the first quarter, they would have tried to break the Jets code over the halftime, so the Patriots spanked the Jets regardless. Forfeiting the game to the Jets would not be fair.
They got caught, they're being made an example of. This is an example of being the best team and everyone else wanting to take a shot at you. If this was the Browns instead of the Patriots they would not have been sanctioned as badly.
Just wait and see what happens if the Chargers beat the Pats this week, everyone is going to say that the Patriots lost because they weren't able to cheat..........when in reality they will lose because they are playing a GREAT team.
Lets be logical about this, Belichick is not a likeable guy, he's got the personality of a cactus, but he is a GREAT coach, and the Patriots are a GREAT team. He got caught thumbing his nose at the commissioners new rule and the team is getting spanked as he should.....the loss of a draft pick to the Patriots is HUGE, they always stock up and replenish through the draft.
And one last thing, even more despicable to me, the friggin Philadelphia Eagles are now crying about their loss to the Patriots in the Super Bowl. They think that maybe the Pats "cheated", grow up Eagles, you lost, your QB didn't have the stones to pull it out in the end.
This must have been what it was like for the Yankees from 1995-2003, everyone was jealous and wanted to see you fail. It sucks being the best.
