Default How did your team do in the draft?

As a Chargers fan, I feel like they did "ok", but am a little disappointed that they traded up to get Eric Weddle. I'm also a little ticked that they grabbed Craig Davis instead of Sidney Rice, Dwayne Jarret, or Steve Smith. The WR position has been their weakest spot and I feel they passed up on three better receivers. They could have gotten Craig Davis in round 3.

How did your team do?

Green Bay Packers---only time will tell on this one. Harrell might be a stud and Jackson might be a reach. I thought passing on a quality TE and dropping down in the second was an error. Getting an extra 3rd and selecting Rouse was part of the dropping down. Might work out...big guy for a safety.

Harrell, Justin DT 6-4 305 Tennessee
Jackson, Brandon RB 5-10 210 Nebraska
Jones, James WR 6-1 207 San Jose State
Rouse, Aaron SS 6-4 225 Virginia Tech

I was suprised that the Pats picked Brandon Meriweather for 2 reasons:

1. He is from Miami (The Pats usually stay away from Miami players; Wilfork was the first Belichick ever drafted)
2. He is kinda a problem child & linked to one of the most embarrassing on field fights in NCAA history (Meriweather stomped an opponents head when down)

Trading the 28th pich to the 49ers was smart, because that should improve their round 1 position next year, and picking up a 4th rounder in the deal allowed them to trade thier original 4th round pick to the Raiders for Moss.

Overall...I'm happy

and thats worst that happened i would worry more about moss that kid is probably an angel compared to him. LOL.

Cleveland probably has had one the best drafts they have had in the past 20 years. Which dosent say much. Thaomas and Quinn are great but i would have liked a running back instead of Quinn, but i cant complain hes a guy who can hopefully come right in and change this offense around with targets like winslow and edwards.

The Patriots adding Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth and Wes Welker have given them some great receivers for Brady to throw to. I can see Brady leading the league in passing next year.

I was somewhat happy with the Steelers draft. I would of liked them to pick up a top tier CB, but they went with a LB instead. After porter's departure they did need to fill that void. Also Farrior is getting up there in age, hopefully the intensity that Porter brought will still be there on the Defensive side of the ball.
