Will the curse continue? I think Vince Young will break the curse this year!

Madden 2000: Barry Sanders. He abruptly retired in July 1999.
Madden 2001: Eddie George. He actually had a career year in 2000 (1,509 rushing yards). He is one of the few to avoid the curse.
Madden 2002: Daunte Culpepper. He missed five games. His TD total dropped from 33 to 14.
Madden 2003: Marshall Faulk. He injured his ankle, and his TD total fell from 21 to 10.
Madden 2004: Michael Vick. He broke his leg and missed 11 games.
Madden 2005: Ray Lewis. He stayed mostly healthy, but it was the only season in his career in which he didn't pick off a pass.
Madden 2006: Donovan McNabb. A sports hernia kept him from playing seven games. His touchdown total was half of what he had the year before (34 to 17).
Madden 2007: Shaun Alexander. Fresh off setting the league's touchdown record, Alexander missed six games because of a foot injury and scored 21 fewer times.
