Default Topps Sponsoring East / West High School All-American Football Game

TOPPS TO TAP FUTURE FOOTBALL STARS AT EAST MEETS WEST HIGH SCHOOL ALL-AMERICAN GAME AT DISNEY
ESPN U To Televise Nationally with Game-Day Live Broadcast

MSL announced today that it has entered into a multi year sponsorship agreement with The Topps Company Inc for the East Meets West All-American Game, which will convene 96 of the country’s top high school football players on January 6th, 2007, at Disney’s Wide World of Sports Complex and air nationally on ESPN U in a same-day live broadcast.

“Topps is thrilled to be officially associated with this groundbreaking event showcasing the rising stars in the high school arena,” said Jeff Haza, Senior Brand Manager, Topps Football. “The players we see in this game are the names we’ll see in the future of Division 1A Athletics, and we’re glad to be able to provide them the experience of playing together from the nation’s premier amateur sports venue.“

The East Meets West High School All-American Football Game is the third in a stable of Topps All-American sponsorships, which include The McDonald’s High School All-American Basketball Game and The AFLAC High School All-American Baseball Game. It is the company’s first entrée into high school football.

New York City based MSL Sports – the Game’s Host and Player Selection Group - will work with Topps to create branded Topps webpages for all East Meets West participants.

In addition to the game, Topps will partner with MSL Sports to host its Elite Combines including the first one to be held on January 4th & 5th, 2007, featuring up to 500 blue-chip high school athletes who will come together to be tested on their agility, speed and overall athletic ability. MSL’s proprietary Video on Demand technology will capture each participant’s results, all of which will be made available to collegiate coaches around the country.

“The concept of the East Meets West High School All-American Game grew out of the expertise our company has gained over the past four years in rating high school athletes through successful measurement events nationwide,” says Lonny Sweet, Managing Director, Sports & Entertainment for MSL Productions. “We’re honored to have Topps on board as our partner with the East Meets West Game, as well as all MSL combines throughout the year.”
