Here's what we pulled from our box.
Base cards 164/200 w/ 80 duplicates
Front: Nice crisp action photo, small foil stamped team logo on bottom left. Players name is foil stamped as well as the players number and postion. Card is regular thickness.
Back: Nice head shot of player, with bio stats, small paragraph of players highlights and stats. Card number is very easy to read.
Rookies: 22/40 w/ 3 duplicates
Front: Nice crisp action shot of player in college uniform.( I really like rookies to be pictured in their college uniform) Small foil stamped team logo is on bottom left. Players name is foil stamped as well as the players postion. The "NBA Rookie Card" is displayed on the card as well.
Back: Same layout as regular cards.
UD Immortals 4/55
We only pulled 4 of these cards in our box:
Larry Johnson, Bob McAdoo, Walt Frazier and Bernard King
Inserts and Parallels:
Now Appearing
Front: Looks like a movie poster.(pretty neat) card has regular thickness.
Back: Looks like a movie ticket.
We did not pull any 3D Stars or Masterpieces
Memorabila Cards: (3 per box, on average) Here's where we struck it big. We got 6 game Materials and 5 VS cards.
Game Materials:
Front:I really like the design of these cards. Although we didn't pull any patch cards, they are all dual swatches. I like the dual pictures on the card, one being a black & white head shot and the other a full length color cut out. All the ones we got were numbered to 150.
Back:No pictures or stats. Just the usuall note of authenticity and congratulations.
VS Materials:
Front: Card features two players color photos. Dual swatches. Some of them are todays stars and some were retired stars. Crads were also numbered differently. Some were numbered to 600, others were to 570 and one of them was numbered to 390.
Back: Move along. Nothing to see here
Autographed Cards: (1 per box, on average) We pulled 4
Front: Crisp action photo with colored out background really makes the plyer stand out. Auto is on sticker.
MJ Legacy: 8/1170
Upper Deck has announced a Michael Jordan Legacy collection set that will be featured in 4 different basketball releases. The first product you can find the cards in is 2008/09 Upper Deck Lineage Basketball, which just went live. The other three with scheduled release dates are Radiance (April 29), Upper Deck (September 22nd), and First Edition (September 29th).
The set is 1170 cards, chronicling every single Chicago Bulls game MJ played in from his NBA Debut on October 26th, 1984 through his game clinching heroics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on June 14th 1998. Also randomly inserted are100 different game-used Michael Jordan Memorabilia Cards, each one numbered to 23.
My thoughts: This box was a lot of fun to bust. In the first three packs I opened, I pulled a GU card, and since the box said it averaged 3 per, I thought that was it, but I just keeped pulling them, and to add to that I pulled 4 auto cards and that was really exciting. The photography & design, as always, was exceptional. I'm not crazy about having two different players and a GU card, but I have to admit they look pretty cool. It's hard to complain about anything, since I pulled 11 GU cards and 4 autos, but I didn't get any 3D Lenticular Stars which were supposed to be 2 Per Box. Really interested to see what those were about.
