Blockbuster Trade Randolph for Mobley and Thomas
In the second major blockbuster trade of the day, the New York Knicks traded Zach Randolph and Mardy Collins to the Los Angeles Clippers for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas.
In a cost cutting move that almost guarantees Lebron James or another superstar signing with the Knicks in the summer of 2010, the Knicks gain the contracts of Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas which both expire following the 09-10 season where as Randolph's ran through the 10-11 season. This marks the 2nd stint for Tim Thomas with the Knicks.

They are definitely going to try and go after LeBron, and probably Bosh from what I heard. Knicks weren't playing so badly this season, but they were never going to get far with that lineup anyhow, so I understand these deals.
