Will the US Basketball team win Gold next year?

The USA Basketball team hasn't won Gold in a long time or even won a major tournament. Will this team with Kobe Bryant and Labron James be different? Can the US win Gold in China in 2008?

Really depends on who is willing to play imo. I don't think we have been sending our best players since the early 90's. It seems like the amatuer question always comes up...to me the Olympics should be about the best athletes competing if they are amatuer or paid. That my feelings but I am sure many others have other feelings as well.

To answer the question yes I think the U.S. will bring home the gold but it will depend on who is sent and if they really want to win it or not.
