Yup.It's official.The reported deal...

Celtics get:Kevin Garnett

looks like Boston will have to go fishing in the NBADL to fill out their roster

Al Jefferson: Liked him, but he's no Garnett
Gerald Green: Great dunker...but that's about it
Sabastian Telfair: Too many legal issues
Theo Ratliff: No loss at all here
Ryan Gomes: Has potential...but expendible
(2) 1st Rd picks: Have you seen the Celts luck in the draft. The words "NBA Draft" makes me cringe.

The Celts will need to rework the bench, but all in all I am extremely happy.

They traded players who in my opinion wont ever be more than role players for one of the best PFs to ever play the game, he joins two other all-stars, I cant see any negatives to this trade whatsoever.

There are plenty of teams in the league that are one injury away from being screwed, a team with 3 all-stars isnt one of them lol.

Al Jefferson will be an all-star one day in the near future...other than that Boston didn't lose much. However, putting Danny Ainge and GM of the year in the same sentence is ridiculous...his deal for Ray Allen was mind boggling and he lucked into KG. McHale shot down a deal centered around number 5 and Jefferson predraft...what possessed him to make the move now we may never know.

If this team...and that's a big IF can stay healthy then they can be a force for a couple of year's in the East. They have no future beyond 2-3 years but I like Ainge's win now mentality. He needs to bring in some vet's though...Rondo and Perkins seeing significant minutes isn't a good thing...

The East should be interesting next season with Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Miami and now Boston in the mix...
