Lakers and Nuggets trade...?

ESPN is saying that Melo might be going to the Lakers in return for Andrew Bynum, and a couple other people.

There is also another rumor that the Lakers, Nuggets, and the Knicks are working a deal for Melo to go to the Knicks, Bynum to the Nuggets, and someone from the Knicks to go to the Lakers.

Not convinced either will happen...Jim Buss (Jerry's son) doesn't want the Lakers deal to work out because he wants them to hang on to Bynum. Honestly, I think he has a good reason too because big bodies are always at a premium (Kendrick Perkins' injury last year for the Celtics is a prime example of why teams need good backup) and Melo hasn't proven he can co-exist beside another shoot-first star (the Melo/Iverson duo in Denver wasn't successful). Two superstars can co-exist, but one of them has to have a high assist or point-forward mindset, like Pippen and LeBron in the MJ/Pippen and Wade/LeBron duos.

I think Den is just talkin to LA to scare New York so they ll add more. I think after all this drama it would be lame if he signed the 3 year extension with Denver. I say go somewhere else he wants to go and get a long term 5/6 year $100 mil contract. I hope he ends up in Chicago(of course) or New York. LA would be fine because that would help LeBron and the big 3 not get a ring but Id rather not see that

I'd like to see Melo go anywhere except the Lakers. I honestly doubt Melo will go to the Lakers since he said he wants to go to the Knicks. Reason being, he's from NY and he wants to be closer to family.

Lakers said they just want to rent him...so I can see Melo ending up in LA getting his ring than heading to the Knicks in the off season.
