Here's what we pulled in our box of 2008 Topps Triple Threads Baseball.

Base and Parallel Cards;

The 2008 Topps Triple Threads Baseball logo is centered near the bottom of the card. Every card is numbered on the very bottom right. The left hand bottom boasts the players position, name and team in that order. The card looks a little unbalanced with nothing in the blank upper right hand corner. The bio is short yet lists all of the particulars needed. There is a section called "TRIPLE TAKE" that describes something about the player the average fan might not know. For example the Jim Palmer states; (1) Owns the lowest ERA (2.86) among pitchers with at least 3,000 IP since 1960; (2) Exploited speed differential between high rider and slow curve, (3) With bases loaded in career, allowed a .195 AVG, .466 OPS and no grand slams.

The Hernandez, Palmer and Gwynn are numbered to /1350, they are the base. The The Sisler is a base parallel numbered to /525. The lone rookie is a John Bowker parallel numbered to /99.

Triple Relic Pull;

The Gary Matthews, Vladimir Guerrero and Tori Hunter is a TRIPLE RELIC CARD numbered to 36, so it's a 2008 Topps Triple Threads Relic Combo. A very high-quality triple relic card of the Angels team. Nice dual jersey, triple colored on the matthews and the other two are bat relics.

Final Thoughts on 2008 Topps Triple Threads Baseball;

2008 Topps Triple Threads Baseball is a higher priced, high-quality sports card product. You can usually find these boxes in the $120 to $169 price range on sites I have checked. Packs can be had for around $55 as well. If you get the entire box you have a great chance to get some nice rebuy value. If you get the GU pack like we did in this break there is very little chance for getting your rebuy value in my opinion. Having said that, this is still a great box buy product for the fan who has a budget that can afford it.
