Base cards are found 3 per pack while chrome cards will appear one per pack. Bowman also included one autograph per box which is always a "hit" with collectors. Two of the biggest selling points are the amount of prospects included in the box as well as draft picks. Bowman once again does not disappoint, including 45 cards featuring players from the 2007 Futures game numbered BDP66-BDP110.

Here's what I pulled in our box of 2007 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects:

Base Bowman Draft Picks:

Base Set :47/55
The quality of printing on these cards really sticks out. I have always been a fan of the Rookie Card printed on the card and when I open a pack and see one of those I always find myself quickly going to the bottom of the card to see who it is. To me it just adds to the thrill of opening Bowman Draft Picks packs. Other things I have always liked about the Bowman product is the big difference in the border color from the prospect cards white border and base set of current players in red. I think Bowman really hits it home with these cards as they make sure to be heavy-loaded on prospects and draft picks, while also adding the current players.

Bowman Draft Picks Chrome:

Anyone who likes to collect Chrome cards will like the clarity that Bowman offers with adding Chrome cards into this product at 1 per pack. These cards really stand out and are nice to add to the collection.

Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects base:

The best part of this product in my mind is the Draft Picks and prospects. I have met many collectors who really enjoy opening packs to find the next top prospect or their favorite prospect from the team they collect. Topps really hits another "homerun" adding 65 draft picks from the 2007 June draft, with cards numbered BDP1-BDP65, one per pack.

Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Chrome:

Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Golds:

Gold cards are another super feature that Bowman added a few years back, starting with Bowman signatures and moving to an all gold border as we see in this year's product. These are often hot cards for collectors to pick up as they are somewhat limited at 1 per pack.

Bowman Draft Picks & Prospect Refractors:

Alcides Escobar,Josh Horton

Bowman again adds some super-nice refractor cards that are very highly designed cards and again a favorite among player collectors. These cards are found 2 per box. In this box, Escobar and Horton were pulled.

Bowman Draft Pick X-Fractor:

Tim Lincecum #55/299

As you can see from the scan above of Tim Linecum, these wonderful inserts are highly desired among fans who like to collect individual players. When collectors open packs, they will stumble onto one of these neat cards and will be drawn to the features that Bowman has put into them, while also stamping them out of /299. Although our box here at Traderretreat did not include the following, collectors should look for the following within packs: Blue Refractors out of /199, Gold Refractors /50, Orange Refractors /25, Red Refractors out of /5 and the Superfractor-ONE of ONE and found only in Hobby Boxes.

Arod Road To 500: Homeruns #446,428

Many believe Alex Rodriguez will be the next to break the homerun record and these cards could become very collectible in a few years as opps once again adds some real nice inserts of Rodriguez homerun chase.

Bowman Chorme Draft Pick & Prospect Blue Bordered Refractor Autograph:

Corey Brown #131/150

We were lucky enough to pull the following autograph card: a Blue Bordered refractor of Oakland A's prospect Corey Brown. There are many fans of certified autographs and this great pull will keep collectors coming back for more packs.

Final Thoughts on 2007 Bowman Draft Picks & Prospects Baseball

Topps did a wonderful job with this product. Bowman has always been known as the "Home of the rookie card", and that is never more evident than in this product. Year after year Chromies look forward to this product and the other line of Bowman products. The box had great coalation and the on-card autos are nice. Also each 24 pack box should yield 26 total parallels. In our box we pulled 27 total parallels. Topps once again hits one out of the park with this product. This product fits the needs of many collectors, from those who enjoy pulling rookie cards or prospects to those who enjoy pulling certified autographs. Also, fans who like to ask for autographs in person at the stadium or through the mail will also be pleased with this product.

Here's how I would rate this product;

Value = 5
Innovation = 4
Fun and Experience = 4
Rebuy Value = 5

I would rate this product an A for Topps
