2006-07 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball
2006-07 Topps Allen & Ginter...always a hot product for the TTM/IP autograph seekers of us. The nice non-glossy cards allow for great signatures of your favorite players. These beautifully designed cards are again modeled after the vintage Allen and Ginter cards from the late 1800s.

Here's what we pulled in our box of 2006-07 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball.
Base Cards and Parallels;

The base cards again have that same look and feel of cards from eras gone by. The front design is simple yet very appealing to the eye. The subjects name is first on the bottom of the card followed by Allen & Ginter 2007 and then Brooklyn, New York. The back of the cards has a very complete career bio of the players including more information than a normal base card. The World Champions cards list a short bio along with describing the players World Championship accomplishment. The Historic Figures base cards lists the subjects accomplishments in various fields including medicine , unsolved mysteries and landmarks. The mini version cards look the same as the larger base set, but include a black-bordered version and Flags of all nations inserts.
Here are the base parallels we pulled;
- (19) Base Minis
- (3) Black Minis
- (2) Flag Minis
Rookie Cards and Parallels;

The rookies cards are the same as the base and have the "Rookie Card" designation either in the lower left or right hand side. The players collegiate career stats are listed on the back. We pulled 12 rookies in this box of 2006-07 Topps Allen & Ginter.
National Pride Cabinet Box Loader Card;

The box-topper we pulled was the Dominican Republic cards that includes;
- Hanley Ramirez
- Aramis Ramirez
- Manny Ramirez
- Vladimir Guerrero
The following countries will be represented: USA, Japan, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Canada, South Korea and Taiwan. The back of the card is basically a checklist of all of the National Pride Cabinet Cards.
Insert Cards;

The card we pulled is an Alex Rodriguez "Road To 500", Homerun # 273 that was hit at Oakland Coliseum off of Ted Lilly. The other inserts are the Dick Perez sketch cards which are outstanding and would be a nice set to collect.
Game Used Cards;

The two game-used we pulled are;
- Miguel Cabrera Of the Florida Marlins, game-used bat
- Ivan Rodriguez of the Detroit Tigers, game-used jersey
The game-used are quite unique as they are mini Framed Relic Cards.
Final Thoughts on 2006-07 Topps Allen & Ginter Baseball;
The is a high quality nicely thought out designed set. The cards are superb for TTM/IP autograph seekers. These boxes can usually be had for between $80 and $115 on most sites that I have checked.
Here's how I would rate this product;
- Value = 4
- Innovation = 5
- Fun and Experience = 5
- Rebuy Value = 3
I rate this product an "A-" for Topps/Bowman! Even though these are some great cards, I would have liked to have seen an autograph in every box. That way you could have a chance at having a nice break as compared to a break where there is little value except for TTM/IP use.

I would like to thank Clay from Topps/Bowman and Trader Retreat for giving me the chance to review this new product. Cards from this break will be added to the Prize Gallery and be available for prizes for contests in the near future. The base cards will be sent to one of the TTM/IP guys for autograph use.
