Here's what I pulled in our box of 2007 Bowman Baseball.

Base Cards and Parallels;

The base cards have a black border that surrounds a red border for the veteran players. The Bowman logo is located on the top upper left hand corner. Only the players name and position and a facsimile auto are all that's on the front of the card besides the logo. The back of the card has a short bio of the player and the last years stats. There are also sections called Resume, Skills and Evolution. The parallels we pulled were a (16) gold bordered like the Prince Fielder Jr in the picture above. We only pulled one blue-bordered parallel and that is of Tom Glavine and it's numbered to 500.

Rookie Cards and Parallels;

The rookies have the Rookie Logo on the upper right hand side of the card. The same bio formation and the players last years stats in the minors are also included on the back of the cards, just like the base cards. On the back of the rookie cards are sections entitled Resume, Skills and Up Close. We pulled (2) parallel rookie cards. One was the gold-bordered card of Hideki Okajima, but we also pulled an orange-bordered rookie card of Philip Humber and it's numbered to /250. Many 1st year cards were pulled of future prospects for the major leagues. The gold-bordered cards are real nice looking and the Bowman Chrome cards are of very high-quality as usual. We pulled (1) Bowman Chrome refractor and it's numbered to /500.

Insert Cards;

2007 Bowman Baseball continues the Alex Rodriguez road to 500 homerun cards parallel set. These sets can be found in many Topps and Bowman products. We pulled homeruns number 127, 134, 142 and 148 of the set. A very nice tribute to a great accomplishment in his career.

Autographed Cards;

Our autograph pull from this box was of Chris Parmelee of the minnesota Twins organization.Chris was drafted by the Twins in the 1st round of the draft in 2006.

Final Thoughts on 2007 Bowman Baseball;

This is a real nice lower-end box with some bang-for-the-buck. These boxes can usually be had for between $35 and $52 on most sites that I have checked. We pulled a real nice possible up-and-coming star autograph of Chris Parmelee. This box still has value for the money all the way around. The base set should be easy to complete, while the paralleled sets have many variations. Again, a very nice lower end product with some value for your money. The prospects cards seem like they would be good for TTM/IP autographing, although there is a bit of gloss to them.

Here's how I would rate this product;
  • Value = 4
  • Innovation = 4
  • Fun and Experience = 5
  • Rebuy Value = 4

I rate this product an "A-" for Topps! I would have liked more rookies in the box instead of all of the minor league prospects.
