Upper Deck Teams with Twins to Produce Commemorative Cards

Upper Deck announced today that they have teamed up with the Minnesota Twins to produce limited-edition cards celebrating the teams 2006 award winners. The cards will be available only to those attending the Twins games during the team's first weekend home stand April 12-15.

This project is in conjunction with the Twins' Awards Weekend celebration highlighting the awards won by their players during the 2006 season. The premium is a 5-card pack, being presented by FSN North, and is going to be given away at the Metrodome on four consecutive nights to the first 10,000 fans in attendance each night.

Each night, the card pack will feature a different player and their award. There will be four player cards in each pack along with one sponsor card. The back of the sponsor card will highlight Upper Deck's Kids Rewards program as all of the player cards being distributed will have static codes that can be entered online for Kids Rewards points.

Currently, the giveaway nights are scheduled for the following dates:

April 12: Torii Hunter Gold Glove Ceremony; 10,000 5-card Torii Hunter card packs April 13: Johan Santana Cy Young Ceremony; 10,000 5-card Johan Santana card packs April 14: Justin Morneau MVP Ceremony; 10,000 5-card Justin Morneau card packs April 15: Joe Mauer AL Batting Title Ceremony; 10,000 5-card Joe Mauer card packs
