My Ebay Auctions My Card Inventory

Default The Ultimate Act of Sportsmanship

With all the crappy news that we get fed each day it is good to read a story like this.

That is a cool story--this is the part of sports I like!! Winning is great but sportsmanship comes before winning in my book....

I was driving to work yesterday and on the sports talk radio here they were bashing both the hitter and the other team for what happened after the homerun was hit from...getting hurt running around first base to helping the other team win by helping a player complete a three run homer which in the end help lead to a 4-1 loss. I only post this cause I found it to be exactly what I find wrong with some people in sports and that is the WIN AT ALL COSTS....One reason I got out of coaching a few years ago---I would have told my players to help her go around the bases if I was the coach--as I would hope another team might do if my team had been in the same situation. At any rate the radio station went into more then just what I typed but thought maybe someone might have some thoughts as to what you might do if this was to occur to a opponent that just hit a homerun against ya?
