Well first off Congrats to the Texas Rangers. What a great team, being a NL guy I have to admit I didn't know much about them outside of Josh Hamilton. That being said what a great team and an awesome series. This one was record setting in so many ways and probably the best series I've ever seen. Usually after a 7 game series it's pretty easy to dislike the other team. Hell we hated the Brewers and Phillies before the post season and beating both of them made the run more special.
With the series behind us it seems like we beat the AL version of the Cardinals. A great team with some flaws but a heart that never stops competing. Nothing but respect for Texas as they play the game the right way. Seven games of honest hard fought baseball. Old school no phony celebrations, trash talking garbage just 2 teams fighting until the end. In the end it had to end this way, no team has overcome what the Cardinals did to complete their amazing run and become part of Baseball history. Game 6 was possibly the greatest WS game ever and without winning game 7 it would have been a foot note in a great season. With a win it goes down as possibly the greatest season in Cardinals history.
TLR has more than earned his spot in the HOF. Now it's time to pay Albert and bring the rest of boys back for another run. How about back to back or 12 in 2012
