Baseball GU draft!!!!

Hey guys, due to the popularity of Cardballer88's GU draft in the basketball forum, I've decided to run something similar here in the baseball forum. Please note this game will be specifically for baseball cards only.
Please see all rules below and join us to play....this is gonna be fun! Also note, this game will be run slightly different than Cardballer88's game, but still should be quite fun nonetheless.

Game Rules
1. Need 10 baseball GU cards to enter in mint/nrmint condition. Any 10 of your choice. Player, year doesn't matter.
2. Cards must be mailed to me and received by start of the game, (midnight EST Wednesday Aug 9th) or you will not be entered in the game. See my sig for my address. To enter, reply to this thread, saying you are playing...
3. Please also PM me a list of the cards you are entering, and then send them to me ASAP.
4. Once the game begins, I will submit a list of all entered cards that are in the draft to each person. Then you have 48 hrs to submit back to me a top 30 ranking list. In other words, of the cards submitted, rank from 1-30 the cards you would like to own, 1 being the most, and 30 the least.
5. After I have received top 30 lists from each person, I will then "score" all the cards entered in the game.
6. The card that receives the most "points" from each person (shows up, on average, the highest amongst all submitted lists) will become the most "desired" card in the game.
7. The original owner of this card will get to draft first. So it behooves you to send in some GOOD GU cards in your list as it will improve your draft position.
8. Whoever then owns the next most popular card will get to draft second and so on.
9. The draft will not snake, it will go 1-10 or 1-12 or 1 to how many ever entrants there are in the game EACH round.
10. Each round will take place on this site on this thread. So you will make your picks here on the thread.
11. This game will take a LONG time to play depending on the number of entrants so be prepared for that.
12. However, to speed game play up, I will invoke the 24hr rule. If someone is up, and is supposed to pick, but can't get around to posting their pick within 24hrs, AND they haven't PM'ed me their pick ahead of time (this is allowed if you know you won't be able to post to the thread), then I will use their top 30 list to pick from. If no cards from their top 30 list are available, I'll pick any random card for them, and it will be the card "next in line" on the typed up list of cards entered in the game...in other words it will be somewhat random as the list I'm typing will be in random order. Also, the card chosen for them will NOT be one of their own original entered cards. It will be someone else's.

I didn't quite understand it the last time, just a few clarification questions...

So when all is said and done everyone gets 10 cards back, right? This is bascially just a chance to trade in a bunch of GU for different GU?

yes, turn in 10 unwanted GU and you'll get an attempt at 10 different GU...but if 10 people play you'll have 90 to choose from, or 100 if you count your own 10...it's a way to get rid of some cards "sitting idle" in your collection...I wouldn't suggest putting in 10 albert pujols GU cards...although sneaking one in there might guarantee you a really good draft slot...hint hint...

I think its exciting to get some new cards in, some fresh meat to trade, or just look at ..
I hope that we can get enuff to make this exciting and fun for all..
