As some of you know, I started collecting Lakers ( former and current) GUs , then graduated to Autographs. I then decided to pursuit Lakers patch cards. After I got all "Lakered" out, I decided that I would try to get an auto of some players I liked..
Between the Lakers and the rest of the players, I was able to accomplish some personal tasks:
1. Old School Players -Which led me to finish the NBA Top 50 (Barkey and Bing were personaly autographed cards. I couldn't bring myself to get Wilt's auto for $600+,so I settled for the next best thing- his PHILA uniform patch. Same with Pistol Pete -his only Gu from Greats of the Game.
2. New School 03/04 : I also got into the Lebron /Melo/Darko /Wade hype and got a few of their items.
3. A Michael Jordan set: UNC auto, BULLS auto (which now belongs to Silver&black), WIZARDS Auto. Red, black and white GUs. ( i'm still kicking myself for trading away my Mj UNC GU)
4. Then Derek Fisher: not the fastest, the strongest, nor the best. But he's got heart. Much respect.
I am currently looking for 03/04 SP GU Legendary auto/GU /100 and I'm planning to complete this set with whatever is available (Gervin and Moses are impossible to find).
I would like to thank the senior members and the other members that I started with for helping me reach my collecting goals. I would also like to thank the new members for keeping the fire in collecting alive. I always get surprised with their refreshing point of views.
