{Before making transactions and replying to posts on the TR network, please take a minute to read and understand the following rules. These rules help ensure the safety of all our members; failure to follow them may result in suspension of your trading privileges or your removal from the site.}

1. As a new member of Trader Retreat, you will be required to send first on your first 10 transactions (this is true for trades, sales, or purchases). Once you have completed 10 successful transactions and received 10 positive feedbacks, you will then be upgraded to regular TR member status where you will no longer have to send first.

2. Document all agreed upon trades within 24 hours in the TR Trader Agreement forum. We do this so both parties can see and verify the agreement and then keep it on record . Failure to do this will void the TR reimbursment policy offered to all its members.

3. Always send cards out on the actual day agreed upon in the Trade Agreement. Lets be honest here, we all have situations that come up from time to time but communication is vital. If your not able to send on the day agreed upon PLEASE contact the other trader. In most instances they will understand and it won't become an issue for the staff to deal with later. Also it might save your feedback rating. The only exceptions are when a TR member is trading with a TR rookie member (where the TR rookie sends first) or if both parties agree (in writing on their trade agreement) that sending at a later date is acceptable. Otherwise all cards or funds should be sent out within 48 hours of the transaction agreement.

4. Treat all Trader Retreat guests, members, mods, staff, and sponsors with kindness and respect. We will not tolerate any abusive language, racial slurs, or cursing on our boards. We also will not tolerate any pornographic material or links to such material on the TR forums or your TR profiles. Again communication is the key here. If your having problems with a trader, the site or simply have a question, please contact a staff member via private messaging.

5. ABSOLUTELY NO promoting or spamming of other sites on Trader Retreat. NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule. Spamming of other sites on Trader Retreat will result in a 30 day suspension. If you have a site you would like to share with the TR members, please contact a TR mod and ask if it is okay to bring the site to the other members' attention. If approved, we will do all we can to help promote the site.

6. If you have a trade problem that you have tried to resolve without success, please go to the TR Trade Dispute Forum and post your problem within 30 days. One of our outstanding mods will assist you and help to resolve your problem. Please do not make posts or complain about trading problems anywhere else but in this area.

7. Once a transaction is completed and you have received your end of the agreement, please post positive feedback for that person as soon as possible. We rely on our feedback system to help members trade safely and it is in everyone's best interest to leave feedback for every successful trade.

8. Do not post sales posts or Ebay links in any of the "trade forums." Please post them in the "sales forums" only.

9. If you have been a member of another site where your feedback has been documented and on record, we will be glad to transfer your feedback to our Trader Retreat site. We will only do this once, and we will not update it again. "Note: Feedback from eBay, Yahoo and Beckett do not count."
You must be able to provide a link so we can verify feedback otherwise we can not transfer the feedback. Regardless of the amount of feedback you have from another site, you will only be upgraded to regular "MEMBER STATUS" on Trader Retreat. The rest of the levels you will have to work for just like all the other TR members. For example, if you have 100 feedbacks from a previous site, you will NOT be upgraded to Gold member status, but rather regular TR member status. This rule is in effect as of March 3rd, 2005.

10. Trades agreed upon outside the TR network or on other sites CANNOT BE documented as a trade in the TR trade agreement forum. Also, please do not leave feedback for other traders based on trades agreed to outside of the TR network. If we discover trades posted on TR as well as another online trading forum your complete feedback will be cleared and you will have to start over at the Rookie status.

11. If suspended or banned from Trader Retreat, you are NOT permitted to sign up under a different username and re-enter the site. If you are caught doing this we will ban your ISP permanently from the site and may look into taking legal actions against you.

12. No one is to share or allow anyone else to use their Trader Retreat account. Do NOT trade, sell, or make any transactions for a non-member of TR. Sharing of accounts without prior approval from a TR Staff member will not be tolerated and will result in either suspension or banning.

Updated rules are in effect from this date forward.
